Your agent reads, classifies, and routes requests. Requests arrive as free-text messages, PDFs, or photos. Today, someone has to read everything, categorize it, and forward it to the right place. This takes time, and the quality often depends on who happens to be available.

What you will build in this session

An agent that understands incoming requests, identifies the topic and urgency, asks targeted follow-up questions, and routes them to the appropriate team or department. You will then extend the agent to handle documents: it will accept a PDF or photo, extract the content, identify the relevant fields, and notify you if any information is missing.

What you will be able to do after this workshop

• Classify requests using AI instead of sorting them manually
• Conduct multi-step conversations and model decision-making through dialogue
• Automatically route requests to the appropriate team
• Extract information from documents using AI Builder, OCR, and form recognition
• Add a human approval step exactly where it is needed

No technical background is required. The environment, sample data, and connections are already set up and ready to use.

Complexity: Advanced

Your agent retrieves information from ERP and CRM systems and delivers a single answer. The answer to a simple business question is rarely found in just one place. If someone wants to know the status of an order and the terms agreed with a customer, they typically have to check both the ERP and CRM systems and piece the information together themselves.

What you will build in this session

An agent that receives a business question, queries two systems through Custom Connectors, combines the results, and returns a single, clear answer.

One of our consultants will work closely with you throughout the session and support you step by step.

What you will be able to do after this session

• Create and authenticate Custom Connectors
• Call multiple APIs within a single conversation
• Combine and organize results from different systems
• Handle incomplete responses and system outages gracefully
• Assess what needs to be addressed when moving from a prototype to a production-ready solution

What to bring

We provide the systems, access credentials, test data, and environment. You do not need to bring anything.

However, this track does require prior technical experience. You should be comfortable with:

• REST APIs: endpoints, parameters, and the structure of JSON responses
• Authentication: a basic understanding of API keys and OAuth
• Hands-on experience building solutions in Copilot Studio or the Power Platform

If you are unsure about any of these topics, we recommend starting with Use Case 1. You can always join Use Case 2 at a future event, as the tracks are designed to build on one another.
